An American historian, Florence Miller, insists that contrary to popular belief that Satan was thrown down from heaven to earth, the devil is actually a full-blooded African who originates from the East African country, Kenya.
According to Miller who is a member of the Organization of American Historians, her findings are based on comprehensive research from ancient texts, artifacts, and DNA analysis obtained from Kenya.

“At the age of five (5), Satan was enstooled as a king in the Wanga Kingdom. He grew to become a powerful leader whom his subjects revered a lot. Gradually, his posture towards his subjects changed. The once kind-hearted king became very wicked and maltreated his subjects. It was then that his subjects named him the Devil.,” Miller said while giving background information on Satan.
She revealed that Satan’s original name is Prince Kamaanyi and not Lucifer as the Bible states.
In a press conference held in California where she made this revelation, Miller said the Bible and other religious books contain several inaccurate information about Satan and that her findings seek to correct all those and change people’s perception about him.”
Meanwhile, the news of Satan’s African origin has been met with skepticism by some groups of people. Some Africans that News Yard spoke to after the press conference expressed disbelief and referred to the research as hogwash.
According to most of them, there is no way that Satan can be tagged as an African, and believe this is purely the work of America to dampen the self-esteem of Africans.
However, Miller believes that the discovery is a major challenge to traditional and religious beliefs and it will take some time for people to fully come to terms with it.
“Ultimately, it’s important that we embrace new knowledge and use it to build a more tolerant and understanding world,” she said.
